CSV tools
CSV viewer
Open a CSV as a readable table without starting Excel, then search and sort it. The file is read in your browser and never leaves your device.
Open, search, sort
Drop a CSV, TSV or TXT file and it opens as a table with the header row on top. Type in the search box to find rows containing a value, and click a column header to sort by it. The delimiter is detected automatically.
Built for large files
The viewer is built to stay responsive with big files, including ones with hundreds of thousands of rows. Excel stops at 1,048,576 rows and can be slow long before that; a viewer is often the quickest way to check what's in a big export. The real limit is your device's memory.
A viewer, not an editor
Nothing in the file is changed. To fix problems you spot, like blank rows, stray spaces or duplicates, use the CSV cleaner. To work with the data in a spreadsheet, convert it with CSV to Excel; to break a huge file into parts, use Split CSV.
Your files stay on your device
Exports you just want to peek at, from bank statements to user lists, are opened locally without an upload. The work happens in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored on a server. Once the page has loaded it keeps working offline, and it's free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
Questions
How do I open a CSV file without Excel?
Drop it here. It opens as a searchable, sortable table in your browser, with no software to install.
How large a CSV can I open?
There's no fixed limit. Files with hundreds of thousands of rows work well on a typical computer; the ceiling is your device's memory.
Can I edit the CSV here?
No, the viewer is read-only. Use the CSV cleaner to fix common problems, or convert to Excel to edit freely.
Is my CSV uploaded?
No. The file is read by your browser on your own device and is never sent anywhere.
