Convert JSON to CSV
Turn JSON data into a CSV that spreadsheets, databases and import tools accept. The conversion runs entirely in your browser.
How it works
Add a JSON file containing an array of objects. Each object becomes a row and the keys become the header row. Values that contain commas, quotes or line breaks are quoted, so the CSV opens cleanly in any spreadsheet.
Shape your data first
CSV is a flat table, so it suits flat records best. Nested objects and arrays have no natural place in a single cell; flatten them into top-level keys before converting for a predictable result.
CSV or Excel?
Choose CSV when the data is going into another system: a database import, a mailing tool, an analytics script. If a person is going to read and filter the result, JSON to Excel gives them a proper spreadsheet instead.
Your files stay on your device
JSON exports from apps and APIs often contain personal data, which stays on your device here. The work happens in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored on a server. Once the page has loaded it keeps working offline, and it's free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
Questions
What JSON can be converted?
An array of objects, where each object is a record. Keys become columns and each object becomes a row.
What if objects have different keys?
Every key that appears becomes a column. Rows that don't have a value for a key are left empty in that column.
Will the CSV open correctly in Excel?
Yes. Values are quoted where needed, so commas and line breaks inside values don't break the columns.
