Convert SVG to PDF

Turn SVG graphics into a PDF you can share, print or attach. Everything happens in your browser, so your graphics never leave your device.

Why convert SVG to PDF?

SVG is ideal on the web, but many apps, social networks and upload forms only take pixel images. PDF puts images on pages that print and share reliably, and several images can go into one tidy file.

From vector shapes to pixels

An SVG describes shapes, so it can be drawn at any size. PDF stores a fixed grid of pixels, so the SVG is rendered at the size declared in the file (its width and height, or its viewBox). Once converted, the image won't scale up cleanly; if you need a bigger PDF, increase the width and height in the SVG first.

SVGs that load external fonts or images may render differently, because the file is drawn on its own. Embedding fonts or converting text to outlines gives reliable results.

Transparent areas get a background

PDF has no transparency, so any transparent parts of your SVG are filled with a solid colour. White is the default, and you can pick another colour before converting, for example to match the page or slide the image will sit on. If you need to keep the transparency, convert to PNG or WebP instead.

Combine several images into one PDF

Add several SVG files and they can go into a single PDF with one image per page. Each page is sized to its image, so nothing is cropped or stretched. A single SVG becomes a one-page PDF.

Questions

Can I combine several SVG files into one PDF?

Yes. Add all the SVG files and they become one PDF with one image per page, each page sized to its image. A single SVG gives you a one-page PDF.

What happens to transparent areas when I convert SVG to PDF?

PDF can't store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a background colour. It's white by default, and you can choose any colour before converting.

Will converting SVG to PDF reduce quality?

SVG has no fixed resolution, so the PDF is rendered at the size the SVG declares. At that size it looks the same; it just won't scale up cleanly afterwards like the SVG does.

Are my SVG graphics uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs in your browser, on your own device, so your graphics are never sent to a server. Once the page and converter have loaded, it keeps working even if your connection drops.
