Convert SVG to PNG

Turn SVG graphics into lossless PNG images. Everything happens in your browser, so your graphics never leave your device.

Why convert SVG to PNG?

SVG is ideal on the web, but many apps, social networks and upload forms only take pixel images. PNG is lossless, supports transparency and opens everywhere, which makes it the safe format for editing, screenshots and graphics.

From vector shapes to pixels

An SVG describes shapes, so it can be drawn at any size. PNG stores a fixed grid of pixels, so the SVG is rendered at the size declared in the file (its width and height, or its viewBox). Once converted, the image won't scale up cleanly; if you need a bigger PNG, increase the width and height in the SVG first.

SVGs that load external fonts or images may render differently, because the file is drawn on its own. Embedding fonts or converting text to outlines gives reliable results.

Transparency is kept

Both SVG and PNG support transparency, so transparent areas carry over without a fill colour.

SVG logos for apps that need pixels

Social networks, office documents, email signatures and many marketplaces want a PNG rather than an SVG. PNG keeps the transparent background of a logo, so it can sit on any colour.

Questions

Will converting SVG to PNG reduce quality?

SVG has no fixed resolution, so the PNG is rendered at the size the SVG declares. At that size it looks the same; it just won't scale up cleanly afterwards like the SVG does.

Can I convert several SVG files at once?

Yes. Add as many SVG files as you like and they're converted one after another on your device. There's no file-size or file-count limit beyond your device's memory, and you can download the results together as a zip.

Are my SVG graphics uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs in your browser, on your own device, so your graphics are never sent to a server. Once the page and converter have loaded, it keeps working even if your connection drops.
