Convert SVG to TIFF

Turn SVG graphics into TIFF files for print and archiving. Everything happens in your browser, so your graphics never leave your device.

Why convert SVG to TIFF?

SVG is ideal on the web, but many apps, social networks and upload forms only take pixel images. TIFF is lossless, and it's the format print shops, publishers and archives tend to ask for.

From vector shapes to pixels

An SVG describes shapes, so it can be drawn at any size. TIFF stores a fixed grid of pixels, so the SVG is rendered at the size declared in the file (its width and height, or its viewBox). Once converted, the image won't scale up cleanly; if you need a bigger TIFF, increase the width and height in the SVG first.

SVGs that load external fonts or images may render differently, because the file is drawn on its own. Embedding fonts or converting text to outlines gives reliable results.

Transparency is kept

Both SVG and TIFF support transparency, so transparent areas carry over without a fill colour.

Questions

Will converting SVG to TIFF reduce quality?

SVG has no fixed resolution, so the TIFF is rendered at the size the SVG declares. At that size it looks the same; it just won't scale up cleanly afterwards like the SVG does.

Can I convert several SVG files at once?

Yes. Add as many SVG files as you like and they're converted one after another on your device. There's no file-size or file-count limit beyond your device's memory, and you can download the results together as a zip.

Are my SVG graphics uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs in your browser, on your own device, so your graphics are never sent to a server. Once the page and converter have loaded, it keeps working even if your connection drops.
