Convert PDF to BMP
Turn the pages of a PDF into BMP bitmaps for older software. Everything happens in your browser, so your documents never leave your device.
Why convert PDF to BMP?
A PDF is a document, not an image, so you can't drop its pages into a slide, a post, an image editor or an image upload field. BMP is simple and uncompressed, and some older or specialised software won't take anything else.
One image per page
Each page of the PDF becomes its own BMP file, named like report-page-2.bmp. When a PDF has several pages you can download them together as a zip.
Pages are rendered as images, so text becomes pixels: it can no longer be selected or searched, and it won't stay sharp if you zoom in a long way.
Where BMP files work
Windows and macOS open BMP, as do most image editors and browsers, but websites and upload forms rarely accept it.

Questions
How are PDFs with several pages converted?
Every page becomes a separate BMP file, numbered by page. With more than one page you can download them all at once as a zip.
Will converting PDF to BMP reduce quality?
Each page is rendered as a BMP image. Text and vector graphics become pixels, so they look right at normal viewing size but won't stay sharp if you zoom in far.
Are my PDF documents uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs in your browser, on your own device, so your documents are never sent to a server. Once the page and converter have loaded, it keeps working even if your connection drops.
